About Tactical Ops

Tactical Ops: Assault on Terror

The game - also known as TacOps, TO:AoT, AoT or just TO - is a First Person Shooter (FPS) which mainly is played online. Powered by the award-winning Unreal engine, TacticalOps: Assault on Terror throws you into the life-and-death world of counterterrorism. Join the Special Forces or the Terrorists in a subversive battle of good versus evil. The side you choose is up to you. In the end, only one can triumph.

Today, Tactical Ops is primarily played in the versions 3.1.9, 3.3.2, 3.4 and 3.5. Most online players and servers, however, can be found at 3.4 and 3.5 which are the most recent versions of the game. While TO 3.5 is an unofficial patch made by the Tactical Ops community itself, TO 3.4 is the last officially released patch of Tactical Ops. TO 3.4 comes with some interesting modifications, which are only available in TO 3.4, and hence it is extremely popular among players. The best known and most popular modification is Capture The Flag (CTF) - a mod in which both teams (SF and Terror) have a flag in their base. Teams score by capturing the enemy flag and carrying it back to their base.
